Bread Pudding 【面包布丁】


Bread pudding is one of my favourite desserts while having guests around... I like to use the oven alot if I am having a party at home, and bread pudding comes in handy in this case, as while I serve hot dish from oven, I could straight away turn the soaked and ready bread pudding in, and once dinner is done, so is my bread pudding!

I could just serve it while it is freshly made, no reheating require... it is simply perfect!

面包布丁是我在宴客的时候最喜欢准备的甜点之一,因为在家举办派对,通常会用烤箱做些烤菜,而面包布丁在这种情况下就很合适,因为主菜上桌时,准备好的面包布丁即可放到烤箱里继续烤。

主食吃完时,面包布丁也烤好了!可以热腾腾时候上桌,不需要重新加热……简直是完美!


Ingredients:
1 Baguette (old bread works)
1 tbsp butter(melted)
1/3 cup raisin
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar (for base)
3/4 tsp cinnamon powder
3/4 tsp vanilla extract

材料:
一根 法棍面包(老面包更好)
1 汤匙 牛油(融化)
1/3 杯 葡萄干
2个 蛋
1 杯 全脂牛奶
1/3 杯 红糖
2 汤匙 红糖(底料)
3/4 茶匙 肉桂粉
3/4 茶匙 香草精



1. Cut the baguette into pieces, brush some melted butter at the bottom of baking pan.

2. Whisk together eggs, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, vanilla extract and milk. sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar evenly at the bottom of the baking pan.

3. Place the bread pieces evenly in any style you like in the baking pan, sprinkle some raisin and slowly and evenly pour in the egg and milk mixture, set aside for half an hour.

4. Spread the melted butter over the top of pudding before baking. 

5. Place the pudding in oven, cover the pudding with foil paper and bake at 350 F, for 40 minutes, remove the foil paper and broil the pudding for 5 minutes, let the pudding sit in the oven for about 5 minutes before taking it out.

Sprinkle some powdered sugar before serving.

1. 将法棍切块,在烤盘底部刷上一些融化的黄油。

2. 将鸡蛋、1/3 杯红糖、香草精和牛奶搅拌匀。 将肉桂粉和糖均匀地撒在烤盘底部。

3. 将面包片按自己喜欢的方式均匀地摆到烤盘中,撒上一些葡萄干,慢慢地倒入鸡蛋和牛奶混合物,放置半小时让面包吸满鸡蛋牛奶液。

4. 烘烤前将融化的黄油倒到布丁表面。把布丁放入烤箱,用铝箔纸盖住布丁,350华氏度烤40分钟后取出铝箔纸。

5. 继续将布丁高火烤5分钟后让烤好的布丁在烤箱中静置约5分钟再取出。

食用前撒些糖粉切块即可。
