I make this Adzuki bean steamed buns a lot for breakfast, I liked that it is healthy and I could make it less sweet comparing to the shop bought version.

Kulcha/Onion Kulcha 【印度Kulcha发面饼】

 


I used to make Homemade Naan a lot at home, we loved it when we have guests at home or when I make our favorite curry dishes. 

At times when I don't feel like starting the oven for naan, I make this Kulcha on stove top cast iron pan. It is also another very versatile and delicious bread, it could be served plain, or stuffed with stuffing of your liking, which I did, with onion today.

家里宴客或者过节的时候,我喜欢做烤箱版馕饼,家人和朋友们都很喜欢。

平时如果我不想开烤箱的话,我也会做这款Kulcha 发面饼,也非常松软好吃,还可以加上各种馅料做馅饼,今天用这个食谱做了两款面饼,其中一款加了洋葱,更美味。

【印度王后炖豆】Dal Maharani


这道“王后炖豆” 名字其实有点哗众取宠,它是相对印度另外一款很有名的炖菜“奶香炖杂豆Dal Makhni”而言取的名字。

一般Makhni奶油炖菜被认为是皇家美食,食材比较朵,是属于王者的美食。而这款很类似,但是材料内容有点不一样的豆子菜,为了识别它的不一样,就被命名为王后的炖菜啦!

Dal Maharani is a close relative to another famous Indian lentil stew "Dal Makhni". Generally speaking, Makhni stew is considered a royal delicacy, and is often served at festive or celebrations time. 

Dal Maharani literally means "The queen's lentil stew", it is probably named as such in comparison to the famous Dal Makhani, though very similar, Dal Maharani has its own distinct flavor and is simpler in terms of ingredients and preparation.

【马来大虾绿咖喱】Gulai Udang


这款“绿咖喱” 其实马来语叫Gulai,和一般香料用得很多的咖喱不太一样。它用的都是生鲜香草调味,口味上也趋于清淡,是简单又健康的一款佳肴。

This  Malaysian "green curry" is actually called Gulai in Malay. Which is different from the many common curries that most people are used to. 

It is prepared with mostly fresh herbs and tends to be lighter in texture. It is a simple and healthy delicacy that goes well with rice.

Vegetarian Fruit Rojak/White Fruit Rojak 【素食/白水果羅惹】


I made Fruit Rojak pretty often in summer, mostly for lunch when I am eating alone. I like the tangy, sweet, spicy flavor of it with refreshing fruits, extremely savory and light on the tummy.

Today I made this Fruit Rojak the vegetarian version without using the shrimp paste, adding yeast extract make it all the more nutritious!

罗惹是深受马来西亚人喜欢的一个街头小食,烈日当头的时候,来一小盘的水果罗惹,香鲜惹味,很开胃喔!

今天做的这款水果罗惹是素食罗惹,加了妈蜜酱更营养哦!
