【药材蒸鸡】Steamed Chinese Herbal Chicken


When the weather is cold, all I wanted to have is some hot, nourishing food. This herbal steamed chicken is simply perfect. 

The method of cooking this chicken is also very convenient and simple, simply perfect!

1 只 三黄鸡/走地鸡
1 盒 炖鸡药材 
2 大勺 白米酒/法国郎酒

1 小勺 食盐
1 小勺 蚝油
1 小勺 香油/麻油
1/2 小勺 糖
3 大勺 绍兴酒/料酒 
5 大勺 水

1 free range chicken
1 box of Chinese herbs for Chicken
2 tbsp rice wine/rum

For Marination:
1 tsp table salt
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil/sesame oil
1/2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp Shaoxing wine/cooking wine
5 tbsp water

1. 把新鲜的走地鸡清理干净,把腌料混合抹匀到鸡内外,腌制至少一个小时。

2. 取一张锡箔纸,和一张油纸,油纸在内。

3. 把药材洗净,把腌好的鸡和药材一起放到油纸上。

1. Clean and drain the free-range chicken, spread the marinade mixture evenly on the inside and outside of the chicken, and marinate the chicken for at least an hour.

2. Take a piece of tin foil, and a piece of parchment paper large enough to wrap around the chicken.

3. Wash and  drain the herbs, place the marinated chicken and herbs on the parchment paper.

4. 先用油纸把鸡和药材包好,再用锡箔纸包好。

5. 入蒸笼里蒸60分钟,喜欢鸡肉软一点的,可以蒸久一点。

6. 蒸好的鸡打开,趁热淋入米酒或者法国郎酒,即可食用。

4. Wrap the chicken and herbs first with the parchment paper, and then with the tinfoil.

5. Place the chicken in a steamer and steam the chicken for 60 minutes at high, if you like your  chicken softer in texture, you can steam it longer.

6. Open the steamed chicken packet, add the rice wine or rum while it is still hot, serve immediately.
