素食好主意【叁巴豆腐】Vegetarian Sambal Tofu (Bean Curd)




This Sambal Tofu is a good example of "Trully Malaysia" food, tofu as Chinese traditional food, and sambal the Malay, and guess what? It is often served by the Indian! Simply love the combination.

豆腐(firm)四块 切块炸好
洋葱 半只

蒜 4 瓣
小红葱 4-5颗
辣椒干(泡水) 4-5只
2 只 熟透的番茄(罐头番茄也可,也搅拌成糊)        

糖 1 小勺
酱油 1 大勺
盐 適量

4 pieces of Tofu(firm)
1/2 Onion

To blend together:
4 cloves of garlic
4-5 shallot
4-5 dried chilies
2 fully ripe tomato (or canned tomato) Blend until smooth

1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
Salt to taste

1. 先把豆腐切块炸好。

2. 洋葱切圈,小红葱、蒜瓣和辣椒干搅拌成糊。

3. 锅里下大约两大匙油,把搅拌好的辣椒糊下锅中火煮至泛红油。

4. 然后加入洋葱丝(圈),翻炒一会儿,然后加入番茄糊,翻炒一阵子,倒入豆腐块,加1/4杯水,酱油糖和盐调味,加盖煮至收汁。

1. Cubed Tofu and fried it until golden brown, slice the onion into ring.

3. In a cooking pan, pour in about 2 tbsp of cooking oil, stir in the blended ingredients and cook at medium until the edge shows some oil.

4. Now add the onion ring, stir fry a little, add the tomato paste, and toufu, add about 1/4 cup of water, soy sauce, sugar and salt, cover and simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
