Chinese Toon Omelette 【香椿煎蛋】



A friend of mine called to inform me that her Chinese toon has sprouted  and told me to go harvest some for cooking. I collected about a basket-full of the Chinese toon young leaves and made some Chinese toon sauce. 

I also kept aside a bunch to make this Omelette, it is a delicacy that comes with spring!


前两周有个姐姐给我发短信说家里的香椿发芽了,让我过去取。新鲜的香椿我全给烫好,做了一大罐的香椿酱,可以拌面炒饭,非常好。

剩下的一小部分做了这个香椿煎蛋,非常好吃,真是一到春天必吃的美味呢!

Fried lotus roots box 【炸藕盒】



This Fried lotus roots box was made during the Chinese New Year period, but I didn't have to to write the recipe until now.

The lotus are sliced and stuffed with minced meat then coat with a layer of batter and deep fried, a little high in calorie but it is so tasty.

I think one can indulge a little during the CNY celebration, right?

这款藕盒是今年春节期间做的一道年菜,之后一直瞎忙也提不起劲来写食谱。今天周末有点时间,就把食谱整理一下放到博客里。

炸藕盒非常好吃,香酥的外皮里面裹着脆脆的莲藕,一口咬下去还有浓浓的肉香味。是一道口感味道都很有层次的菜哦!
