I made a very yummy Oven Baked Tandoori Chicken couple of weeks ago, with the same marinate I also made these Tandoori Paneer Tikka, these tandoori duo are such a good starter for party and taste absolutely yummy!
Ingredients:
300 gm of Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) cut into 1 x 1.5 inch cubes
1 red pepper dice into 1 x 1.5 inch pieces
1 yellow pepper dice into 1 x 1.5 inch pieces
1 zucchini dice into 1 x 1.5 inch pieces
1 tsp of Chaat masala Optional
Marination:
1 cup Natural Yogurt
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Chili Powder or to taste
1 tbsp Tandoori Masala
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Ang Chow (Chinese Red Vinasse) or two drops of red coloring
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tsp salt or to taste
1. Blend together all ingredients for marinate, add the paneer cubes and marinate for at 1 hour.
2. Soaked a bunch of bamboo skewers/tooth picks in water for 2-3 hours. Arrange the paneer pepper and zucchini on skewers.
3. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C), place the skewers on a baking sheet with foil paper that sprayed/brushed with a layer of oil. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
3. Turn the skewers and switch oven to Broil,continue to broil for 5-8 minutes or until the paneer slightly charred.
Sprinkle some chaat masala and squeeze some lemon/lime juice on the paneer tikka before serving!
