Okra with Minced Meat 【肉末炒秋葵】



This summer was one of the hottest summer in past many years, good for plants that thrive in hot weather, Okra is one of them.

I harvested a bunch last week and didn't have time to cook until today. I was thinking of making some con-gee for lunch, and this okra dish is simply perfect for go with it.

今年夏天天气比较热,院子里的秋葵长得很是不错,收成了好多却一直没时间做。
今天想吃点粥,就做了个肉末秋葵下粥。简单好吃又营养!


Ingredients:
18-20 Okra
1/2  cup of minced meat (I usedturkey)Marinate with 1 tsp of cooking wine and a pinch of salt
2-3 green chilies  Optional
2-3 cloves of garlic (Sliced or minced)

Seasoning:
1 tsp fish sauce/soy sauce
1 tsp of Sichuan Pepper paste
A pinch of pepper powder Optional

材料:
18-20根左右的秋葵
1/2 杯的 肉末 (我用了火鸡肉末)加1 小勺料酒和盐稍微腌一下
2-3 根青辣椒 可无
2-3 瓣蒜瓣 (切碎或者切片)

调味:
1 小勺 鱼露/酱油
1 小勺 郫县豆瓣酱
一点胡椒粉 Optional






1. Clean and cut okra diagonally to about 3 mm thick, minced chilies, marinate the minced meat with salt and cooking wine.

2. Heat about 2 tbsp of oil in a cooking pan, stir fry garlic and chili until fragrant, add the minced meat and break loose, add 1 tsp of Sichuan pepper paste now if you choose to use.

3. When the minced meat is cooked, add the okra pieces and cook for another about 3-5 minutes or until a little gooey substance appears on the surface of okra.

4. Season with fish sauce or soy sauce and serve hot.

1.把秋葵清理干净,斜刀切成大约3厘米左右的片状。

2.辣椒切碎,肉末用料酒和盐腌好。

3. 锅里热上2大勺油,把蒜瓣和辣椒/郫县豆瓣酱炒香后加入肉末炒散,加入秋葵炒至粘液出现断生后加酱油/鱼露调味即可。
