Bhindi Masala (Spicy Okra)

There are many ways to prepare Okra (ladies finger), this one goes well with any type of curry. I also love to have it with Biryani, just make the rice taste much better...


20 Young Okra (Ladyies finger)
1 onion, shredded
Grind together below ingredients:
1 medium tomato
2 green chilies
1 small piece of ginger
2 cloves of garlic

1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp of Garam Masala
1/4 tsp of chili
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
Salt to taste

Slice Okra into about 1.5 cm pieces. Grind together tomato, green chilies, ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.

Fry shredded onion in a cooking utensil with 2 tsps of oil till it turn brown. Take out the onion, in the same cooking utensil, pour in the grinded ingredients, till oil seperated, add all the powder spices and salt, stir for few seconds. And now add okra pieces, stir fry for about 1 minute, add the fried onion, and fry for another 1 minute.
