I have got this great recipe from a net friend Annauk, and this turned out soooooo well, soft and sweet and simply can't stop eating the bun!
My version:
Ingredients:
1 Cup milk (full cream or 2 %)
1 Egg
500g strong white (bread flour)
75g /6 tbsp sugar
50g butter (softened)
25g butter (melted)
1 tsp Instant Yeast
1 cup raisin
25g/2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Egg
500g strong white (bread flour)
75g /6 tbsp sugar
50g butter (softened)
25g butter (melted)
1 tsp Instant Yeast
1 cup raisin
25g/2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground mired spice- I use 1/2 tsp of nutmeg powder and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
For the glaze :
50g Sugar
1 tbsp of freshly squeeze orange juice
1 tsp ground mired spice- I use 1/2 tsp of nutmeg powder and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
For the glaze :
50g Sugar
1 tbsp of freshly squeeze orange juice
In a bread machine or mixer, slightly beat together milk and egg, and add in bread flour, softened bbutter, salt, sugar and yeast, knead into a soft dough, and continue to knead for another 20 minutes until the dough is elastic.

Take out the dough, and roll it into a 23cm/9in rectangle shape, brush the melted butter on the surface, and then sprinkle spices and brown sugar evenly, spread the raisin, roll the bread from top to bottom into a roller shape as shown in the picute. When you reached the bare edge pinch a little to seal the seam.
Cut the bread into 12 equal part using a pastry cutter. Place the cut rolls on a greased or parchment-lined pan. Leave the buns at warm place to raise for about 30—45minutes until it doubled its size.
Preheat oven to 200 C/400F, place the buns at the medium level and bake for 15-20 minutes.

When the bread is in the oven, place a small sauce pan, and simmer 50 gms of sugar, 1 tbps of orange juice and 1/4 cups of water until the consistency of syrup. Brush this glaze on the surface of buns while it is still hot from oven.
