Roasted Baby Potatoes with spices

The first batch of Potato I put in my garden are flowering now,its about time to check out some baby potatoes to make this really delicious dish.

There is no comparison to fresh potato from your own garden, really!!

300 gm baby potato
1-2 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Chopped Spring Onion

For Seasoning:
1 tsp Cumin Seed (Jeera)
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder)
1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Salt (Or to taste)

Harvest of the day......

Brush and clean baby potatoes well, cut into bite size if it is bigger. Sprinkle some water, cover with lid, microwave for 4 minutes, or until a fork could easily poke into the potato.

In a cooking pan, melt 1 tbsp of butter at medium heat, add the cooked patatoes, use a potato masher to light crush all the potatoes. Roast both side of potato until golden brown in colour.

Add everything under seasoning, mix well and make sure all potato pieces are coated with spices. Finally sprinkle chopped spring onion, and turn well.

Its a good snack/side dish!
