Oven Baked Chicken 65 【印度65号香辣鸡块】


Chicken 65 is a very tasty starter to go with beer, the original recipe called for deep frying and I am definitely not a big fan of deep frying especially during winter when the smell of cooking could linger for hours....

I made this batch using oven!

Chicken 65 为什么叫做 chicken 65,在印度有很多传说,最出名的一个就是这个食谱要65天的时间来准备,另外一个传说是这个食谱是1965年创造的,还有一个说法是1965年打战的时候印度士兵发明的一个简便食物。。

然而我个人觉得最可信的还是--这个食谱原来是兵营里食堂餐牌第65号的菜肴,因为很美味可口,所以大家点菜的时候就点chicken No.65,久而久之,就成了Chicken 65.

原配方是要加红色素和入锅油炸的,我加了红曲汁出来的颜色味道和在餐厅里吃的一样。

Rasgulla (Indian Sweet Cheese Ball)



Rasgulla is a very popular Indian sweet dish and not very often home made... as it require certain skill and.... luck in terms of making a perfect round and yet soft cheese ball...

Well sounded like it has all the challenges I am looking for!

Dry Channa Masala (Chole)



Channa (Chole)is one of our favorite legumes at home, I normally made this into curry to serve with Puri/poori. Once in a while, I like it as tasty spicy side dish, like this one.

It could be use as a starter too!

Vietnamese Style Spicy Lemongrass Paste 【香茅酱】


There is a very good Vietnamese restaurant near our house and their Lemongrass chicken is a must order every time we visited that place.

I have been wanting to make this same dish at home for a long time, and did not find a recipe to my liking, After reading like 2 dozens of recipes, I decided to come up with my own version!

Note: The Original recipe was created on 2/14/2011,revisited on 3/6/2016.

我们家附近有一家越南餐厅做的香茅鸡特别好吃,我一直很想要自己在家做一次,找了好些食谱都觉得跟我们喜欢的有点出入。今天趁着周末,我就自己研究了一番,做出比较满意的香茅酱。 今晚的晚饭就是香茅鸡啦!老公吃了两大盘呢!
