Oven Baked Chicken 65

Chicken 65 is a very tasty starter to go with beer, the original recipe called for deep frying and I am definitely not a big fan of deep frying especially during winter when smell of cooking could linger for hours....

I made this batch using oven!

4 pieces of chicken thigh (Cut into 2 inches pieces)

2 tbsp of Plain Yogurt
2 tsp of Light Soy Sauce
1 tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp of Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp of Lime juice/lemon juice
A pinch of pepper powder
Salt to taste (1 tsp)

1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients mentioned, and leave it in the fridge for 1-3 hours.

2. Lightly oiled a baking pan and spread chicken pieces over it.

3. Broil the chicken using broil function in the oven, or bake at 500 F, the highest temperature your oven has for 10 minutes, take out and turn the chicken pieces, bake/broil for another 5-8 minutes until slightly charred.

Note:you can also deep fry the chicken pieces.

Very tasty! Oven baked Chicken 65!

  1. Similar to you, I also dislike the lingering smell of deep fried food in the kitchen. I find frying fish is the worst. The smell lasts till the next day! And it's not even winter here.

  2. Yes。。。 I really kinda miss an open kitchen.... in this way...

  3. Good Information. Thank you for sharing and I want to share information about Tandoori Chef2 which is An authentic North Indian, fine dining restaurant. Tandoori Chef offers Maplewood and the surrounding area a wonderful taste of Indian cuisine.
