【酥炸芋艿】Arbi(Arvi)/Colocasia Wedges


我们家都很喜欢吃芋艿,平时会做成香辣芋艿,今天想吃点比较想口的,就做了这个酥炸芋艿,一点都不比酥炸土豆差,全家都很喜欢呢!

We like Colocasia/ Arbi a lot, I often prepared it in the form of Masala Arbi

Today I kind of looking for something crunchy and savory, so I made this super yummy Colocasia Wedges, all of us in the house loves it!


Ingredients:
5-6 只 芋艿
3 大勺 粘米粉 
1 大勺 鹰嘴豆粉 
1 小勺 辣椒粉 
1/2 小勺 姜黄粉
1/4 小勺 阿魏胶 Asafoetida Powder/Hing
1 小勺 盐

Ingredients:
5-6 Large Colocasia or 10-12 Small Colocasia (Arbi)
3 tbsp Rice Flour
1 tbsp Gram Flour
1 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Asafoetida Powder/Hing
1 tsp Salt


1. 把芋艿洗净加水煮熟,不要煮太烂,拿个叉子插插煮好的芋艿,能插入而但是不烂的感觉即可。

2. 稍微放凉之后去皮切块。

3. 把香料和粉类混匀,加入芋艿块把混合的粉类裹匀。

4. 锅里热上两寸油,把芋艿入锅炸至金黄色。捞出滴油即可。

香酥好吃。

1. Wash and boil the Colocasia until it is cooked but not mushy, test using a fork the Colocasia should be a little hard to poke but not too hard that you need to force too much. 

2. Let cold and remove the skin. Cut it into wedges/ bite size pieces.

3. Mixed together all the spices and flours,  toss the Colocasia pieces with the mixture until well coated.

4. Heat up about 2 inches of oil in a frying pan. Fry the Colocasia pieces until golden brown in color, drain and serve warm.

It can be served as a side dish or a starter !
