I made Fish Tikka as afternoon snack yesterday over movie, the thicker cuts of the huge salmon fillet N bought were all made into Fish tikka and I turn the thinner cuts into this yummy salmon Teriyaki Bento for A, he had this for dinner and enjoyed it very much.
Ingedients:
2-3 Salmon Fillet cut into 2 x 5 inches
1 tsp oil (I used avocado oil)
a pinch of sesame seeds
1/2 cup of steamed white rice
1 bunch of green vegetable
Some green salad or cherry tomatoes
For the sauce:
1 tbsp Mirin (Or substitute with 1 tbsp of while wine and 1/2 tsp sugar)
1 tbsp of water
1 tsp of dark/sweet soy sauce
1 tsp of light soy sauce
1. Heat up a cooking pan with 1 tsp of oil, place the salmon fillet on it and sear the fish on both sides. Take the fish fillets out and keep aside.
2. In a small bowl mix all ingredients for the sauce well. Turn the heat to low and pour the sauce into pan, bring to boil.
3. Place fish pieces in the sauce and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes or until sauce thickened.
Boil or steam the green veges, serve with steam hot rice and some salad. A had some ABC soups too!
