Mashed Potato with minced meat gravy 肉末土豆泥



My son A is not a big fan of potato unless it is cooked in a certain way. This mashed potato with minced meat and gravy is one of them. 

I normally served it with some steamed vegetables, which makes it a complete meal for a little boy. 

俊宝不爱吃马铃薯,只有几个有限的马铃薯菜他愿意吃。这款肉末土豆泥是其中一款。

每次做这个菜,我会给他蒸上几块西兰花和胡萝卜一起吃。这样就各种营养都有了,是个不错的儿童餐哦!

唯一不足的地方是俊爹这个土豆控每次都会和儿子抢着吃这道菜。


Ingredients:
1 large russet potato
3-4 tbsp of Minced pork for Gon Loh Fun
1 tsp of Soy Sauce
a little oyster sauce
1/2 tsp of Corn starch/tapioca starch
1/2 cup of water
a pinch of salt
a little crushed pepper powder ( I used white pepper powder)

材料:
2 只 土豆
3-4 大勺 多用途肉臊
1 小勺 酱油
一点点的蚝油
1/2 小勺 芡粉
1/2 杯 水
一点点食盐
一撮 胡椒粉



1. Peeled and cubed the potato and steamed/cooked in water until tender. Drained and mash the potato using a masher. Season with a little salt and pepper powder.

2. Place the mashed potato in a bowl/deep dish.

3. Make the minced meat for gon loh fun (recipe click here) if you don't already have one at hand. If you are using the ones you prepared earlier, just heat the minced meat up in a wok.

4. Place cooked minced meat over mashed potato, add 1/2 tsp of starch to 1/2 cup of water, mix well. Pour the mixture to the wok that we just cooked minced meat in. Bring to boil and season with soy sauce and oyster sauce.

5. Pour the gravy over minced meat and mashed potato. Sprinkle some chopped scallions for garnishing if you like. Serve warm.

1. 土豆削皮洗净切块后加点水煮软,也可以蒸软。沥干水份,加点食盐和胡椒粉后压成泥。

2. 把压好的土豆泥放到碗里。

3. 如果家里没有备好的多用途肉臊,可以先炒制肉臊 (食谱点击这里)。
如果冰箱里已经有做好的肉臊,取几大勺在热锅里加热即可。

4. 加热好的肉臊铺到土豆泥上。芡粉加1/2杯水混匀,倒入锅里煮滚,加点酱油和蚝油调味。

5. 把煮好的芡汁淋到肉末土豆泥上,撒点葱花就好了。
