Kaddu ki Subzi/Spicy Pumpkin 香辣南瓜



This is one dish that I like to make during fall season, when pumpkin are abundant and tasting at its best!

已经是吃南瓜的时节了,看见菜市场的南瓜很好,就买了一大块,一半做了这个香辣南瓜,另外一半打算做南瓜浓汤

Ingredients:
300 g of pumpkin (cubed)I used Kabucha
1 medium size onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3 dried chilies
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds

Seasoning:
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Raw mango powder
Salt to taste

材料:
300 克 日本小南瓜(切块)
1/2 只洋葱,切碎
2 瓣蒜瓣,切碎
3 只辣椒干
1/2 tsp 葫芦巴籽(fenugreek seeds)
1 tsp 孜然 (cumin seeds)

调味料:
1/2 tsp 黄姜粉 (turmeric powder)
1/2 tsp 辣椒粉 (red chilli powder)
1/4 tsp 干芒果粉 (raw mango powder)
盐适量





1. Heat up 1 tbsp of cooking oil, add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, when the cumin seeds starting to splutter, add the dried chilies, chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until the onion turned translucent.

2. Add all the spices and stir for one minute. Add the cubed pumpkin and cook for about 5 minutes, sprinkle about 1 tbsp of water and cover with lid and continue cooking for about 5-8 minutes or until the pumpkin is cooked.

1. 锅里下一大勺的油后把葫芦巴籽和孜然下锅爆出香,加入辣椒干,翻炒大约20秒,然后加入洋葱和蒜蓉,炒至洋葱变软后把所有的调味料加入,中火翻炒大约一分钟。

2. 加入切块的南瓜,翻匀煮大约5分钟,洒入约1 大勺的水,再翻匀加盖焖5-8分钟至南瓜熟了就可以了。

It could be served with rice or Roti. 
配米饭或者面饼都可以喔!
