(Oven Baked Mathri)

I made Mathri a couple of weeks ago and have been toying the idea of making a healthier oven-baked version for days. I was on the phone with my best friend Surbhi and she was like "when are you going to make an oven-baked version of Mathri?"

That's it... One gotta do this for ya best of friends... yeah?

Ingredients
1 cup  Whole wheat flour (atta
1/4 cup Semolina Flour
suji
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 cup oil
1 tsp chili powder (optional)
1/2 tsp Caraway (Ajwain)
1 tsp Cummin Seed
Jeera
1/8 tsp Black pepper powder
2 tsbp  Butter/Ghee
½ tsp  Salt
½ cup Luke Warm Water minus 2 tbsp

Semolina (suji)
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp 油
1 tsp 辣椒粉 chili powder (optional)
1/2 tsp Caraway (Ajwain)
1 tsp 孜然 Cummin Seed (Jeera)
Black pepper powder
2 tsbp Butter/Ghee

Knead  together all the ingredients into a slightly harder dough, leave it aside for about 10 minutes。

Roll it out to about 1mm thick, use a round cookie cutter or a cup in about 5-6cm in diameter, cut the mathri into round shape and use a fork to poke the mathri around, this is to prevent puffiness during baking.

Preheat oven to 350F(175 C),bake the mathri for 25 minutes, It done!

Now we got ourselves an healthier version of Mathri!
